Skin Necrosis

Skin necrosis is the death of skin tissue due to a lack of blood flow, infection, or injury. It can occur as a result of various conditions such as poor circulation, burns, pressure ulcers, or severe infections. When skin cells die, the tissue becomes discolored, and it may break down, leading to open wounds. If untreated, skin necrosis can spread and cause severe complications, requiring medical intervention to remove the dead tissue and prevent further damage.
